SONICAKE Expression Pedal Vexpress is a passive volume/expression pedal for those people who think that a full-size, expression pedal may be a little heavy, and simply took too much space on the pedal board.
True analog circuit design combines 2 functions in 1 unit, a passive volume and an expression pedal.
Vexpress can automatically detect and grab the output (EXP or VOL) objective. Smooth taper responds to various parameters with maximum precision. Used as a volume pedal, input jack in, output jack out, as usual. Used as an expression pedal, leave the input jack unconnected, and connect the output jack to the device with a stereo 1/4" cable.
An extremely compact miniature size saves quite some space on your crowded pedal board.
Working without battery or pedal power supply, it can be used in an extensive range with guitar, bass and other musical instruments. Made of hard plastic, lightweight casing, but yet very robust and well-built.

Used as a passive expression pedal for a HX Stomp, via a midi M-waves Chocolate controller, works very well and takes up very little space in the pedalboard!
This is exactly what I expected, I am for the moment very satisfied, especially at this very low price!
To see how it gets old, but it's simple and rustic, it should be fine!

Expression function works as expected, I'm very satisfied. It was the only reason why I purchased it. It's a passive pedal, it doesn't need a power supply at all. Volume mode works not so fine (as many reviewers noticed), there's no room for subtle swells, change from zero to near full volume is pretty steep. It is clearly because of potentiometer being linear instead of logarithmic one. It would be nice to have both, each one with its dedicated output. For that matter, I recommend Hotone Soul Press II pedal, from the same shop. It even has the third output, for tuner or anything else you want to connect. When operating by hand there's a little bit of rubbing sense at the potentiometer side of the pedal, it's not a perfectly smooth, but you can't notice anything wrong while operating by foot. It is worth this kind of money for expression function alone. Potentiometer is of 10 kilo ohms resistance, if you plan to use it with a processor which have that value stated as a required one.
