Frequently Asked Questions

How many preset slots does the pocket master have?
It has 100 preset slots: 50 in the f group (factory presets, non-editable) and 50 in the p group (user presets, editable).
Can i move the effect modules?
No, the drv, amp, ir, and eq modules are fixed. however, nr, fx1, fx2, dly, and rvb modules can be freely moved.
What are sonicake manager and soniclink?
·sonicake manager (pc software) manages presets, irs, tone-learning files, and firmware updates. it does not support tone adjustments or parameter settings. ·soniclink (mobile app) allows for easy tone adjustments, parameter settings, and management of presets, irs, and tone-learning files. it does not support firmware updates. huawei users need to disable pure mode for installation.
Does pocket master support otg recording?
Yes, it supports otg recording, allowing you to record your instrument’s audio directly to a phone or mobile device for music creation and sharing.
Does it support midi?
Not at the moment, but this feature will be added in a future firmware update. stay tuned.
How can i import nam files into pocket master? (new in v1.1.0)
You can import nam files in two ways. · via soniclink app: ①ensure pocket master is connected to your phone via bluetooth. ②in the soniclink app, go to the tone management or file import section. ③select the .nam file you want to import and follow the app’s instructions to complete the process. ·via sonicake manager (pc software): ①connect pocket master to your computer using a usb cable. ②open the sonicake manager software. ③go to the tone file management or import section, select the .nam file, and follow the software prompts to complete the import.
Why are my nam files import timing out on windows?
We've set a 2-minute timeout for imports. try importing one file at a time to see if that helps. if the timeout still occurs, it could be due to the cpu performance not meeting the requirements. for the best experience, we recommend using at least an intel 9th generation cpu and windows 10 or higher.
Why is my firmware update stuck?
Ensure you've downloaded the correct firmware version. if it's stuck, reset the device by pressing the reset hole on the back for 1-2 seconds until it restarts.
How can i fix bluetooth connection issues?
Ensure your device and phone have compatible bluetooth versions. try turning off other nearby bluetooth devices and reconnecting.
Why isn't the software working on my computer?
Check if your system is compatible (windows 10 or mac 10.15+). older versions might not be supported.
How to connect sonicake pocket master to record on a computer or phone?
You can connect the pocket master to your phone or computer using an otg or type-c cable for audio signal transfer and recording. if recording doesn’t work, try these steps: check if the cable is compatible; ensure your phone supports the feature (android devices may have compatibility issues due to different system settings); for computer recording, make sure to download the correct audio driver for windows (mac systems will recognize it automatically).

Midi Support

MIDI support is currently limited; for example, it doesn't support a very popular device, the M Vave Chocolate BT Controller, which I use. When will you extend Bluetooth and USB MIDI support? It's not enough to enable it.
5 Stars for the Product, 2 for MIDI support

Super Sound Box!

This has been a hit to take with me at open mics and use one of my electric guitars. With all the tone possibilities covered, it really opens up more tunes for me to share. A cool tool!

...still needs ALOT of firmware upgrades

..so close to being a perfect piece of gear but still has major flaws ...the sound quality of the patches is amazing ...however i purchased with hopes of using the 'drums' & looper together ...the 'drum machine' only streams over the phone & sounds like garbage ...the samples and patterns are THE WORST & does NOT sync with the looper ...looper recording time is too short also ...looper doesn't sync with built-in metronome either ...i don't know ....it's very awkward having a built-in metronome but then also having drums that can stream over the phone but none of which can be a synchronized to the Looper ...kind of makes the drum machine & the Looper pointless which was the main reason I bought this unit ....also when I go to record, it only records the sound of the guitar ...it doesn't record the drums or anything else streaming to the phone which is another foolish thing ...you can hear these things in the headphones ...but they dont record ...the recording of the USB should just be the same thing as the headphone signal ...what you hear should be what you get ...not being able to capture the drums or whatever other audio is going on just ruins it ...this could be incredible ...also theres supposed to be some parameters on the phone app that allow you to adjust the levels when you're recording with the USB but none of them seem to work properly ...there's like a BT RECORD fader slider thing and that seems to do nothing so I don't really understand what the point of that is ...there's definitely still some major blindspots with the firmware still... I really hope they address these issues ASAP ...they're so close to having one of the best products ever but I can't allow this to have a great review until they fix these fatal flaws...again the patches sound amazing.. the effects sound amazing... BUT the Looper and the drum machine are garbage which was honesty a big selling point for me ...please fix the Looper and the drum machine to synchronize with each other and please fix the audio interface situation
