This has become my favorite Strat, it arrived with super low, slinky action like a rock star setup. I had to stretch the strings out, like all new guitars. After I did, the action was just so perfect The pickups are very quacky & funky, an authentic strat tone, especially 2 & 4th position, is very Clapton-esque & fun,
The weight is very light, the lightest Strat I own. I have owned a lot of budget Strats & most of them don’t have 100% Strat tone. This does. It has rolled fret ends, no sharp edges, light as a feather & I got so lucky w the action. Many guitars need a twist of the truss rod when they arrive,, this one needed no adjustments at all.
I really have no negative feedback. There was no gigbag, but at this price? I have a half dozen cheap gigbags under my bed. This is definitely the best Strat for $130. I tried all the competition. This one is the no brainer. The low action, tone, rolled frets, lightweight
My sea foam green one? I will never sell it,. I can afford to buy a $500 or $1000 guitar, but this one has such great action, I wouldn’t trade that for a higher priced guitar, this one checks ALL the boxes & im 100% satisfied with it,
I figured I could buy a nice pair of boutique pickups, & locking tuners for it..but it doesn’t need it. The tone is rich, full bodies, yet airy and glassy.. it holds tuning rock solid.
Pixkups handles overdrive & fuzz in that bluesy Hendrix-y way that you want from a Strat. Mine is a funk machine, the purpleheart board is hard & snappy like maple. she’s perfect for Chic/1970’s funk and R&B.. & the bridge pickup is just right, hot enough to get a solid rock n roll bridge sound, but still classic/vintage sounding. Even if you’re a pro player like me, having a great Strat this light is amazing. They range in the 4-5lb range. Try one on my recommendation. sonicake gives you 10% off yoir first order, bringing it under $120
