I own a lot of fuzz pedals, I have a closet full of them, but I never really bring them to gigs. I’ve found many Muff circuits to be too high gain. however.. This little $45 pedal cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume control. The same way Hendrix used his fuzzface, it can work as an overdrive, the dynamics were very sensitive and easy to control.
This was one of the most useful fuzz pedals I ever tried. I own pedals that are 5-7x more expensive that don’t clean up this well.
Sonicake see,s to be getting better and better. Their last few pedals were so beautifully designed, this fuzz could easily sell for $200 if it had a trendy enclosure with funky artwork. It’s that good. I was getting pinch harmonics, and lots of soulful, dynamics from the Fazy. The vintage mode was a little brighter, I like it best, but all three modes are fantastic.
This is the fuzz for folks who don’t like fuzz. It’ll work as a low gain overdrive too, and everything in between. highly recommended.
Has the silliness and sustain of a muff, sounds enormous when you want enormous..dial your guitar volume back and you’re doing blues and Jimi, Clapton and Page.. this really bridges the gap between fuzz and overdrive. Use your volume knob on your guitar, it opens up a lot of new tones
