Tone is 100% authentic, easy to grab as a practice axe

Nice, narrow, playable neck like an electric. Perfect tool to keep around to grab for practicing during the day. Grabbing an electric takes time to plug in, and playing my acoustics w the fat necks are sort of a drag. THIS is perfect! I grab it, and it doesn’t need plugging in, yet the neck is slim enough to shred. The neck feels great, it’s slim but not tiny, and it actually sounds and feels like a real acoustic. You can dig in the same way, the only difference is you don’t feel the vibrations against your body.
At first, it was little awkward, like any electric acoustic, I learned to keep the EQ low, for a natural tone..and after a half hour of solid playing, I started to really get into it. You close your eyes and just imagine it’s a regular acoustic..and you just start really getting beautiful tones out of it,

, the body models are great, but even the piezo alone sounds good. Really good. This is almost a perfect copy of the Yamaha silent guitar which costs $750. I played one in Tokyo and the experience was the same. The overall feel and look are elegant, I think the most interesting thing is really hearing the difference between the hummingbird and the thinline, the Grand Auditorium.. the smaller bodies have more articulation and sparkle, the Dreadnaught was fuller, but kind of spongy and not as sharp an attack. There’s beauty in all the settings, and they’re good. It took me an hour to really get used to it, most of it was keeping the bass and treble low, Overall, the feel is like a hybrid. It’s a skinny nut width, so it plays quickly like a Strat, with the tone, action and heart of an acoustic.
I’m not a huge acoustic player, but this interests me. It’s an aspect doesn’t have the huge neck and huge body of an acoustic, and it’s very playable. It’s actually rekindled my love for acoustic playing, singing, and it’s been so much fun. I like this a lot more than I expected to!
