●TS-Style OVERDRIVE TONE I bet more than 98% of guitarists out here have an overdrive pedal in their arsenals. And I bet 85% of that 98% have a Tube Screamer-ish device on their boards. Let's face it, we need that mid-humpy, warm and natural overdrive tone from that little green box for almost everything! What if I tell you that I can give you twice the tone, with half the price. Will you be interested? Let's take a look at the Blue Skreamer.
●DUAL MODE - WARM Blue Skreamer comes with 2 modes, with one of which being that iconic TS-type overdrive. Flipping the toggle down, you get the WARM mode, which pushes the mids and pulls the lows, making sure that your guitar tone is pronounced enough in a band mix.
●DUAL MODE - LOUD Blue Skreamer offers you a little bit extra in LOUD mode, which is a little different voicing with a little less gain but definitely some more level and a quite unique mid-range voicing. LOUD will make your solo cut through the mix like a knife through butter, even with the loudest drummer hammering the kit aside.
●GIG FRIENDLY The glowing LED knobs shows perfectly the working state of the pedal for those gigs in dim lighting situations. The LEVEL, TONE, and DRIVE knobs are as straightforward as they are.
●SPECIFICATIONS Power: DC 9v 5.5 x 2.1 mm center negative, 12mA; Dimension: 93.5mm(D) x 42mm(W) x 52mm(H); Weight: 228.7g.
I was hoping to get a TS style OD out of this and wasn't very happy to see it does just that and more! It makes a great OD for tightening up that metal tone! Posting a video
This is a fun overdrive pedal and is very small, which is what I needed because my pedal set up is growing too large. I am still playing with the settings but the tone I get is nicer than the combo amp i am using. I would like to try other brands to compare them to this one and see if what I got was a good deal. So far so good.
